Mike Tremblay was the expert advisor and is the author of the associated Explanatory Memorandum, "E-health and democracy in the regions".

Health Systems Governance is an emerging area of policy concern, as health systems become more devolved and Ministries of Health seek to redefine their own role. A new report on how health systems should be governed has been completed for the Government of Ontario to inform health system reform efforts there. It is available on the Governance and Public Participation tab, as "Health System Governance". Tremblay Consulting is a leading advisor on this new area.

  • Work is has now been completed on a policy course for government policy-makers to help develop and improve knowledge and skills at policy-making. Enquiries on developing similar policy capabilities within public and private sector groups are invited.
  • "Coincidence or Crisis" dealing with counterfeit prescription medicines is available from the Stockholm Network, London. Regretfully, the problem of medicines counterfeiting continues to be a concern; it may be that the next steps will need to focus on threat management strategies and involve the investment community.
  • A paper on e-health and regional health systems has been completed for the Council of Europe, which will be using this for developing new policy on e-health.
  • A study on policy for the governance of systems of health care delivery has been completed for the Government of Ontario, and its new purchaser/provider system.
